I am writing to you, trapped in Abner Doubleday’s Basement. I’ve been held captive here for minutes. Whole minutes to contemplate how to spend some time giving back to a community that has given me a couple, maybe even several minutes of fun over the years.
All of that being said, some general principles. This is meant to be fun. I built these lists last year off of publicly available posts on Reddit. I taught myself how to create aggregate baseball rankings from multiple sources. I’ve gone from hunting in the dark and statline scouting of players to using these rankings to help understand valuations of players in dynasty fantasy baseball. So far, three lists have emerged as helpful.
An annual FYPD composite list
A rolling update dynasty prospects list
And an overall dynasty rankings list
I will put some time into updating each list from publicly available sources and privately available, always trying to keep subscription sites private. I will try to tell you the sources and will likely only ever hope to not lose too much money on this hobby. Anyway, I hope you find some value in this, dear friend.
